Series 2 Scope and Contents
This series contains a number of letters written to Stagg by the athletic directors, football coaches, etc. of the schools and organizations that played football games against the YMCA Training School in 1891. The letters contain requests for scheduling games, information about payment for games (e.g. to cover traveling expenses), and information about planning and organizing the games. The correspondence comes from institutions like Amherst, Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Trinity, Wesleyan, Williams, and Yale.
