This series includes documents, reports, correspondence, and meeting notes from the planning committees of Springfield College and outside vendors contracted to work on campus planning. These documents describe the campus and speak to the campus projects, both proposed and actual, and include blueprints, photographs, expenses and other information. The vast majority of the series are the reports from 1995-1997, including a Campus Projects report that includes photographs of some of the property owned by Springfield College that are not part of the main campus. Also of import are the Committee Meeting materials, including the official meeting minutes and agendas from various building committees from 1894 through 1993. Most of the materials cover the period from 1959 to 1971. Included within is a bound book containing the meeting minutes from the building committee from 1894 through 1897 that covers the construction of Judd Gymnasium and Administration Building. Finally there are drawings, photographs, blueprints, news and magazine articles, and planning lists and notes on various campus planning and building proposals. Of particular interest are the two large sketches of the campus plans created in 1926 by the Olmsted Brothers Landscape Architectural firm along with E.C. & G.C. Gardner Architects. One is framed and both seem to be hand colored. The plan was not followed. Other plans include Munson & Mallis and possible plans on the renovations of the Memorial Field House.
