This series includes news articles, correspondence, reports, video, printed materials, and photographs on the various athletic fields on the Springfield College Campus. Included within are some materials on the softball, baseball, tennis courts, and soccer fields, including dedication materials and photographs. Most of the materials, though, focus on three of the main athletic fields that have existed on the Springfield College Campus: Pratt Field, Blake Field, and Benedum/Stagg Field. Besides many photographs, materials of note include news articles and photographs of the burning of the Pratt Field Grandstand in 1959, materials documenting the construction of the first track at Blake field, and photographic documentation & some other documents, including information on a lawsuit against Monsanto, of the construction of the first three field surfaces of Benedum/Stagg Field from 1971 to 1990.
