This includes news articles from local newspapers and campus newspapers, as well as press releases from Springfield College. Also included are campus mailings/memos on the situation, information from the faculty committee on East Campus, and alumni letters speaking against the use of East Campus as the site for the new High School. There are two folders containing information prepared for, presented at and documented during the Springfield School Committee meetings of April 17, 1980 and June 12, 1980. Included in these folders are typed remarks of Springfield College President Wilbert E. Locklin, summaries from the meeting, and materials collected to present at the meetings. Finally there is information on the site that was eventually chosen, Blunt Park, and the selection of East Campus as an Experimental Ecological Reserve by the National Science Foundation.
