Series 02 Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series contains reports and studies and documents used for studies performed by students, administrators, and perhaps outside entities about East Campus and its possible and future uses. There is a document that outlines the Flora of the Buttonbush Swamp thought to have been created in 1975 and three different biology papers drawn up by students during the 1950s. These include a Biology 4 Project by Harold Wissel ’60 and George Perry ’60 that has photographs of various locations on East Campus taken in 1957. In addition, there are planning/development folders containing memos, correspondence, notes, reports, meeting minutes from 1958 to 1964 and a document titled “East Campus Assessment Report: A Shared Vision for East Campus” prepared in 1995 and presented to Academic Dean and the Vice President of Finance and Administration that recaps the history of East Campus and lays out the present and future use of East Campus. Lastly there are a series of short reports that were drawn up by people during the Reeds Landing controversy. These documents include some building plans and a series of colored numbered drawings by P. Hu(?)nne dated 1/4/1990 that show the interior of the Pueblo of the Seven Fires and exterior and interior of cabins (these cabins most likely were not built). It is believed that the drawings may go with the “Report of the East Campus Coalition to the Campus Planning Committee” Feb. 23, 1990.
