Series 1 is split into 2 sub-series, including: sub-series a) Laurence L. Doggett, 1911-1920, and sub-series b) Alumni, Faculty and Staff, 1915-1919. They are arranged alphabetically by faculty or staff member then sorted chronologically. When the faculty member was unknown, the correspondences were foldered by author. Folder 16 of sub-series b) was kept in the original order. These materials detail the war record of Herbert Flaxington and were donated in 1985. A folder of loose postcards was found during processing and they were placed chronologically within the appropriate folders. When possible, newspaper clippings and photographs were kept with correspondences, however a folder has been made at the end of sub-series 2 containing clippings where the corresponding letter is unknown.
