Series 01 Scope and Contents
Series 1: Making History Public Class (Hist. 201), 2019 contains materials from oral histories conducted by Springfield College students taking the Hist. 201: Making History Public class in the fall of 2019. Included in this series are audio recordings and transcripts of oral histories conducted, class directions & materials, and signed release forms. Those interviewed were asked questions regarding their perspective of the Springfield College Black student activists’ actions, and the attitudes of the college and country leading up to and during SC Civil Rights protests in 1969-1970. Among those interviewed were students, an administrator (Jack Costello), and a faculty member (Herb Zettl).
