Dr. Harold T. Friermood was born in La Junta, Colorado on September 14, 1902 and died in South Hadley, Massachusetts on March 2, 1999. He is best known for his involvement with the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) and his contributions to physical education (specifically volleyball and swimming). Dr. James Genasci was born in 1928. He attended Springfield College, receiving his Bachelor of Science in 1950 and a Master of Science in 1955. He got a Doctor of Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1960.
