Abstract Dr. Harold T. Friermood was born in La Junta, Colorado on September 14, 1902 and died in South Hadley, Massachusetts on March 2, 1999. Abstract Leslie J. Judd was born on August 6, 1888. Widely regarded as one of the founders of modern collegiate gymnastics, Judd graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor’s in physical education (B.P.E.) in 1920.
