Materials included in Series 3, Sub-series g- Alumni Oral Histories: 1970s-1980, are transcriptions and audio recordings of oral histories of Alumni who graduated from Springfield College in the years between 1971 and 1980. The audio files are on the original cassettes or as a digital file on CDs. Included are oral histories with Springfield College Coaches and notable athletes like Mike Delong, Peter Haley and Roger Jones. Mike Delong became the head coach for the Springfield College football team in 1984 and led the team through 189 wins. Some of the themes discussed in these oral histories are Styi Yu Ka, the big brother/big sister program, and changes in social life of the students living on campus. Mike Delong also talks about what it was like to play under coach and fellow Alumni, Ted Dunn.
