Materials included in Series 04: Presidents and Administration Oral Histories are transcriptions and audio recordings of oral histories of former Presidents and members of Administration from Springfield College. The audio files are on the original cassettes or as a digital file on CDs. Also included is a tape recording from the 1985 Alumni Reunion Weekend Centennial Presidential Panel. Included are oral histories from President Glenn Olds, President Paul Limbert, and Dean Merriam. Some of the themes explored in these are changes to the college following World War II, trying to give students more opportunity to have their voices heard, and changes to the curriculum. Dean Merriam speaks about how the College wanted to try and expand the physical education curriculum past the YMCA and into public education to try and attract more potential students.
