The photographs within this sub-series show students from all different schools competing in three different organizations’ championships: the Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League (EIGL), the Division for Girls’ and Women’s Sports (DGWS), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The photographs show gymnasts competing and standing at the winner’s podium. The photographs show students from a number of different schools (besides Springfield College) standing at the podium. The represented schools include the University of Pennsylvania, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Princeton, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Military Academy, Temple, Pennsylvania State University, Syracuse, and Southern Connecticut State University. 1975 is the only year with photographs of the students competing. The Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League (EIGL) is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college athletic conference which sponsors men’s gymnastics. It is an affiliate of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
