This sub-series primarily contains competition scores, rosters, sports schedules, brochures, Gymnastics equipment, trophies, and Gymmie Finals publication. The Gymmie Final was produced by seniors at the end of most academic years, and it has athletic information and personal reflections on that year’s team. The season records typically have rosters, schedules, NACGC Official Statistics, a season preview, ECAC receipts, scores, statistics, and handwritten notes by Wolcott. Some have information about Springfield College’s annual athletic awards. The newspaper clippings primarily describe Springfield College gymnastic competitions, alumni, coaches, and occasionally the school’s other athletic teams (bulk: 1960-1975). A few folders are dedicated to special Exhibition Team trips (such as to Florida, Mexico, and Puerto Rico), and they often include rosters, budget, notes, and letters. There are papers, brochures, letters from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League (EIGL) Championships. This sub-series also has some information about the use of a parachute in gymnastics routines at Springfield College. Finally, this sub-series also has the following memorabilia: a 1955 Trophy celebrating Springfield College’s return to collegiate gymnastics competition, eleven plaques celebrating Frank Wolcott’s distinguished career as a gymnastics coach, two dumbbells from the original Training School Building, the first gymnastics chalk stand (originally produced for use in a bean-bag relay for a physical education class), a Danish wand (c. 1885), an iron wand (c.1920-1940?), Large Indian Club (c.1885), two Indian clubs (c. 1930s), four modified juggling clubs (used between 1955 and 1981), and a key for assembling the parallel and uneven bars used by the Springfield College Exhibition Team. There is a report from the First Annual New England Collegiate Invitational Gymnastics Championship at Lowell Technical Institute (1968) and Pan-America Competition Exercises (1971). Finally, this sub-series has a small set of negatives from the 1969 Puerto Rico trip. They were not removed, because they came with a letter from Terry and Phil Neild.
