Costello, November 11, 1969 include printed college documents, memos, correspondence, newspaper articles, and reports created between June and December 1969. The materials mostly deal with petitioning the end of the required work requirements that were punishment for the Springfield College Black Students who took over the Administration Building in the spring of 1969, Dean John J. Costello’s responses to these requests, and the eventual announcement that the requirements were satisfied. Documents of note include a letter written by Margo Cowan to donate work hours to their punishment, copies of the petition to end the work requirement, and some newspaper articles of the response and the ending of the requirements.
