This series contains an ink wash painting by the Canadian painter Ross Reverdy Osgoode, 1876-1946. While serving with the Royal Canadian Engineers during World War One, Osgoode was permitted to do battlefield sketches. This work was created after 1917 April 17 and shows bombardment damage to the medieval gate which was sustained during the Battle of Arras.
